Nationally Competitive Teams

LUC is committed to the integrity of this level of competition and the expectations of the rowers are high. They compete in national and international regattas, including San Diego Crew Classic, Head of the Charles, and Master’s Worlds, at which the team has won medals consistently throughout the years.  Both the men’s and women’s teams have multiple guaranteed entries for the Head of the Charles. Practices and workouts are designed using a yearly training plan focusing on specific regattas. A coaching philosophy of “any seat, any day, any race” is used to build a team that is versatile and is able to match, blend and win.
